I'll be performing in a special open rehearsal/performance of Canarsie Suite this coming Saturday at the Brick Theater in Williamsburg. This is our last run-through before we hit the road for a weekend of performances in the Marigny Theatre in New Orleans. It will also be the first time we perform the show with live music, played by myself on piano and Scott Goodman on bowed guitar and drums. I wrote the music for this amazing two-woman vaudeville/clown extravaganza last year, and I'm really pleased to finally be able to participate in the performances (at the piano, not just on the CD player). This is a free showing, though we might pass the hat to defer the space rental costs. Also, if you have friends in New Orleans, please let them know we'll be there April 22-24.
